Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS)

Millbrook is approved as a Real Driving Emissions (RDE) test facility by the VCA  and as a designated RDE Technical Service for type approval by the Dutch automotive  authority, RDW.

  • Manufacturer: Sensors Inc.

  • Model: 3 x Ecostar, 2 x LDV

  • Measurement capability:

    • 1Hz CH4, HC, CO, NOx species, NO, NO2, O2, CO2 and particulate number

    • Dual FID capable to measure simultaneously Methane and total Hydrocarbons (HC)

  • Static, bus, HGV, off-highway and passenger car applications supported

Variable Temperature Emissions Chamber

Millbrook's Variable Temperature Emissions Chamber (VTEC) is a climatic chassis dyno vehicle emissions testing facility designed for light and heavy duty vehicles.

Evaporative Emissions Testing

The VTSHED is used for the determination of evaporative emissions (hydrocarbons) as required in the Type IV test of the European emissions Regulations. It also has a butane canister loading facility.
